In order to provide the best service, I have a medical membership model. This allows me to limit the number of patients in my practice. I do not accept insurance for my services, although I record insurance information to use for lab testing, diagnostic imaging, and specialty care.
Membership in my practice involves a flat fee, deducted monthly from your credit card or bank. The benefits of membership include:
- Same or next day appointments
- Quick response to patient messages
- Longer, more thorough consultations
- Within reason, there is no limit on number of visits
- House calls when my schedule permits
Prospective patients may ask why they are expected to pay monthly when they may not see me every month. Physicians who accept insurance often have many patients, ranging from 1,000 to 2,000 patients per physician. This inevitably results in long waiting times for appointments, less time allotted for appointments, and rushed visits. You might have to see another provider when your physician is too busy. Physicians may have to deal with 100 or more inbox messages per day, which causes a delayed response.
